These conversion kits make it easy to install a late
model V8 T-5 transmission in a 1964-70 Mustang.
A T-5 transmission will increase gas mileage and higher top speed. No
cutting of the floor required.
You can even use the original emergency brake linkage, speedo cable, clutch
linkage, flywheel and starter.
Stock
Bell housing modification is required. Bell housing not included.
Since the input shaft on a T5 transmission is 5/8"
longer than the original transmission's shaft, you will need to use the
spacer plates if your plans include using your early model bell
housing. Select either the 5 or 6 bolt as needed...
Because your original Mustang was not originally
designed to run a T5, you will need one of these crossmembers to complete
the job. These are constructed of heavy gauge steel!
If you have the T5 Bell housing (E6ZZ series), you can
use your 289/302/351W 6 bolt T5 conv without having to use the spacer
plate above. This part attaches to the T5 bell housing to make it
work in your Mustang with your existing clutch linkage!
Now there's even a T5 conversion kit for your 6
cylinder Mustang. Improve acceleration and gas mileage...
The original type of Transmission mount does work on
this system...
You can't run your driveline without one of these!
