"almost" drop in replacement fuel cell addresses that issue head
on! In the racing world, the brand name Fuel Safe is
widely known for over the last 20 years. Now they've designed a fuel cell
that will install in your early Mustang and help protect you in the event of a rear
end collision. The high aircraft standard cells this company produces,
include TIG welded aluminum housings and feature a puncture resistant coated
rubber bladder, and a stout fuel filler plate with an integral anti-backsplash
valve. Complete with installation instructions and tech support if needed. We
have opted to not offer the Economy Fuel Cell on street applications due to a
more porous bladder that emits a fuel smell, however these are available for off
road applications upon request. We
sell the full line of Fuel Safe Fuel Cells. Optional powder coating

All Mustang cells come with the following hardware: • TIG welded aluminum container
• FIA FT3 approved Pro Cell® or Sportsman® fuel bladder
• SF6X10A fill plate with -8 vent and provision for -8 return, and -8 pickup (in
factory location) Remote fill options are available.
• Full safety foam baffling, minimizes fuel slosh and the potential for an
explosion

** Note: To make the fuel
gauge work correctly with your stock gauges, approx. $15 of electrical parts are required from Radio
Shack. We're working on getting these items in stock at a later date. You
can still fill the fuel from your stock location with one of the filler neck
kits above. The 22 gallon tanks will fit the early model cars without
modification to the car, for added fuel capacity. Filler neck will need to be
shortened slightly.
