Now Available from Mustang Depot, the safety and
increased stopping power you have been looking for on any 1964-70 Mustang in a
very easy to install unit. The only
modification necessary is bending new lines from the master cylinder to the
distribution block. The
Distribution Block may be
required depending on what your is currently equipped with. This part is
recommended for all 1964-66 disc brake cars. 1967-70 cars already have one
from the factory but it's a good idea to replace it. It is recommended to
get the Power Brake Conversion lines for the install as these blanks can be used
to custom bend and re-new the lines going from the distribution block to the
master. (Note: These are late model rebuilt units that may not be direct
replacements and may require bending brake lines) These kits are easy to
install and work excellent on both drum and disc brake cars. This is a
very economical solution for your aging Mustang brake system along with the
added safety of a dual master cylinder chamber system. Note: Booster
requires a minimum of 15 pounds engine vacuum at idle for maximum stopping
power. Some high performance, high lift camshafts may not create enough
vacuum. Stock engine vacuum is 18 pounds at idle.
Common swap instructions from 65-66 single to dual bowl.
1967-69 cars switching from manual brakes must change their brake pedal arm. The
mounting location for the new power brake pedal is at the top of the pedal tree,
not where the existing manual pedal attaches.
