We sell a front end 6 cylinder to V8 conversion kit -
The engine of course is the first part of the swap.
Right off the bat the spindles will need to be acquired used, the front
springs, the tie rods inner/outer and adjusting sleeves, idler arm, idler
bracket, center link, pitman arm, the brakes, the rear end, the rear brakes,
and it's likely that the driveline will have to be addressed, but not
Forged Spindles are available. However they are for the 70-73 based
bearings so the front brakes would have to be for the 71-73 Mustang with
OE disc brakes. We also sell a beautiful coilover kit from TCP. Spindles
sold separately on same page.
Wilwood Brakes (70-73 #WIL-140-11074 for 12" and
WIL-140-10220 for 13" Both kits are offered drilled and slotted with the

If purchasing separately, Tie Rods and Sleeves are here: You would base your outer tie rods on the
year/model of the spindle.
If purchasing separately,
Idler, Center Link and Pitman Arm
1965-66 cars use a specific rear end. It has a 56" track width and the v8
cars used an 8" or 9", specific to those year V8 cars. Even harder to find is an OE 9" one that is correct. The problem with going with later years is you
will have a rear end that is wider. So the rear wheels will stick out a
little bit. Can cause problems with wheel fitment going forward. Here's some good info on rear ends.
